I guess I'll be the first to post my attempt for the April Challenge! I included pictures at the end of what I thought they would look like. Enjoy!

Since Wolfie didn't have any ideas for an April Challenge, and I did....she decided to let me have a go at it!

4/2/06- Battle of Good and Evil Challenge

You are faced with a dilemma. Poof! On your right shoulder, your good conscience. On your left shoulder, your evil conscience. What do they look like? How do they interact? Are they the stereotypical angel and devil, or do you have a purple weasel standing in for the dork in the halo? I've had an idea or two bouncing around in my head about what my personal consciences look and act like, so I want to open it up to the rest of the group. Make it as long or short as you like. It can be prose or poetry...whatever strikes your fancy.

As a side note, all of these challenges are standing challenges. There is no expiration date. If you get an idea in May that pertains to a challenge issued in March, feel free to post away! Have fun!

This is another episode from the march challenge story that I started. It's the beginning part, of how the two met. I'm just writing down random episodes as I think of them, so here's part one if anyone's interested.

Last week if you asked me if I was going to be participating in the March challenge, I would have said 'no'.  However, A few days ago I was struck by inspiration.  Luckily, I ducked enough to avoid having a black eye.  I'm not going to tell you straight off what song or line was the catalyst for what you are about to read, I would like to see how many of you can guess.  The grand prize will be...*Reaches into his pocket, pulls out something, and looks at it blankly for a moment*...a nice shiny paper clip!!! Now, come on, what more reason do you need to read on but that!

But seriously, thanks goes out to sinspired for her editorial assistance.

Now without further ado, Ladies and Gentlemen...I give you:

Thank you for taking the time to read, I look forward to your comments.

I do suppose this counts as my contribution the the march challenge. As for the song it was inspired by, it's loosely connected to the Goo Goo Doll's song 'Name.' I just liked the line "Scars are souvenirs you never lose." And I went with it. It's loose and messy, but I think I agree with. It makes it more about the reader, I suppose.
Well there may be more episodes to go with this story sometime, but here's the one that started it all.

And I demand that the rest of you start posting immediately...or asap...or something like that. ;)

well isn't this interesting. I suppose I'll have to write something. After I figure the rest of it out.
Good things will come to those who write.
sometimes.
Anyway I joined. that's something, I suppose.
I'll maybe try the march challenge, if I can find a reasonable song. :)

So, I finally got to write something. I don't know what inspired this poem, but I think I like it. I hope you all enjoy it!

Okay so this is a story I've been writing for YEARS! I've saddly lost interest from time to time, and lost it along the way others times. The main character is more or less a personal inspiration that I've created to reflect my flaws or good points in my life thus far. I hope you enjoy it as much as I'll enjoy writing it:

I said there would be challenges and excersizes, so here's your first one. Participation is not mandatory, but it is greatly appreciated. My story for this challenge should be out in a few days.

-The One Song Challenge

Take one of your favorite songs and write a story inspired by it.

It doesn't have to be word for word, the song, in story format. It just has to be an obvious inspiration. I'm not concerned with size limitations or wordcount. I'm just curious to see what people come up with.

So that's your challenge for March.
