Just a couple of announcements.
Things have been going admittedly slowly here, and I know I'm part of that. I haven't given up on writing for either of the challenges, but as most of you know, sometimes life gets in the way. However, I had two ideas that hopefully will get things moving again.
I'm telling you May's challenge early, because that way I can start it right on May first.
-The Round Robin
On May 5th, I am going to post the first part of a story.
From there, I would like any one of you to write the second part. You can introduce new characters, you can change the direction of the story, anything you like. After that, I would like someone else to write part three. And then someone else to write part four.
Notice the trend?
Basically, I want to start a campfire story. Also known as a round robin. The idea is to get everyone to participate and help write a story. I don't know how long it'll be, because that mostly depends on all of you. Some of you have already helped me write a campfire before, so you know how it works. But either way, that is the May challenge.
Lastly, just as a heads up, on July 1st I'll be starting a novel for NaNoWriMo. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, NaNoWriMo is a challenge run every year for the month of November. The challenge is to write a novel, 50,000 words or more, in the time of one month. Since the start, other people have taken it and run their own various versions of it in different months, with different restrictions and wordcounts.
So in July, I'll be aiming for those 50,000 words. Anyone who is interested can feel free to pick up the gauntlet.
Good luck and goodnight.
